French renewable energy developer, Neoen, is planning a series of medium-scale solar PV plants around towns in western New South Wales. In total, the plants would amount to a total 115 megawatts, making it one of Australia’s biggest commercial solar projects to date.
The project, called the Dubbo Solar Hub, will be located in areas of high solar radiance and close to consumption centres.
Neoen plans to install one 10 megawatt plant, one 15 megawatt plant and three 30 megawatt plants in and around the cities and towns of Dubbo, Narromine, Griffith, Parkes and Gilgandra.
