The renewable energy group CBD Energy is ending its involvement in the AusChina wind joint venture. The AusChina venture, with Chinese wind giants Datang Renewables and  Tianwei, aimed to capture one-third of the Australian wind development market, or about $6 billion of contracts.

CBD Energy says it will still play a role in serving the remaining joint venture partners under a different business model.

The company is also reviewing its other assets prior to its proposed listing on the U.S. Nasdaq stock exchange, which it plans to do after completing its merger with the U.S. solar company Westinghouse Solar.
