Australia's Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited has signed a ditribution agreement with Solar Spirit, a leading Belgian provider of renewable energy systems.

Ceramic Fuel Cells, the developer of BlueGen generators which use fuel cell technology to convert natural gas into electricity and heat, announced last year that it was abandoning plans to deploy its locally developed technology in Australia and will focus its efforts on Europe.

The Belgian market is known for its high environmental awareness but solar power subsidies have recently been reduced, making highly efficient systems, such as the BlueGen units, very attractive.
