Bannerton Solar Park

Syncline Energy, in connection with the UK's Foresight Group infrastructure fund, has built a 100 MW solar farm at Bannerton about 100 kilometres south-east of Mildura in north-west Victoria.

The Bannerton Solar Farm, which will consist of 95,000 solar panels, has won a tender to supply energy to Melbourne's tram network.

The solar farm is expected to cost about $150 million. Construction was planned to start in October 2017.

In September 2017, the solar fam was purchased by the London-based Foresight Group.

The solar farm was connected to the grid in July 2018 with full operation in September 2018.
