Beryl Solar Farm

First Solar is planning to construct an 87MW solar farm about 5 kilometres west of Gulgong in central western New South Wales.

The solar farm will comprise 230,000 sinle-axis tracking solar panels.

Planning consent for the project was granted in December 2017 and in May 2018 First Solar announced that financial close had been reached.Power from the project  will be used to power the New South Wales government’s new north-west rail line.

The solar farm began production in April 2019.
