Bulli Creek Solar Farm
Toowoomba Regional Council has approved the staged construction of a 2GW solar farm on a 5,000 hectare site at Bulli Creek, near Millmerran in south-east Queensland.
The proposal is to build multiple 100 MW-plus stages over a period of eight years with construction commencing in mid-2016.
The project is to be co-developed by Solar Choice and SunEdison.
When complete by about 2024, the solar farm could be the largest in the world. Even the first stage could be the largest solar farm in Australia.
