Cape Bridgewater Wind Farm

The Cape Bridgewater wind farm was the largest in Victoria when completed in 2008.

The 58 MW Wind Farm comprises twenty-nine 2 MW wind turbines which produce enough electricity to abate an estimated 195,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases each year.

Cape Bridgewater Wind Farm is part of the Portland Wind Energy Project being developed by Pacific Hydro. The Portland Project comprises:

  • Yambuck (20 turbines with 30 MW capacity)
  • Cape Bridgewater (29 turbines with 58 MW capacity)
  • Cape Nelson South (22 turbines with 44 MW capacity)
  • Cape Sir William Grant (27 turbines with 54 MW capacity).
