Gladstone Abatoir Solar Farm

Asia-Pacific Agri-corp is planning to develop an export abbatoir, ultimately capable of processin 2,400 head of cattle a day, in the Gladstone State Development Area in northern Queensland.

Asia-Pacific Agri-corp plans to construct a 78MW solar farm on an adjacent 95 heactare site to power the abbatoir. It is also planned to develop a methane capture system for further energy production and a 35MW hydrogen to service the abbatoir's boilers.

Construction is planned to begin in May 2019 with operation to commence by 2021.
