Robertson Barracks Solar

The Department of Defence has called tenders for 12.5 MW of solar PV for its Robertson Barracks and RAAF base in Darwin.

A 9.2 MW solar PV array is planned for the Robertson Barracks about 15kms east of the Darwin CBD and a 3.2MW array for the RAAF base, also in Darwin.

The output from the installations will be used at the bases themselves rather than exported to the grid.
