Taralga Wind Farm

RES Southern Cross obtained approval for a 61 turbine wind farm east of Taralga, in the New South Wales Southern Highlands, in 2007 but did not proceed. In September 2011, CBD Energy and its joint venture partners, China Datang Renewable Power and Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric acquired this project from RES.

In September 2012, CBD Energy announced that t had signed a power purchase agreement with TRUenergy.

CBD Energy expected to complete the project in 2013.

In March 2015, the Chinese state-owned utility State Power Investment Corp agreed to purchase the Wind Farm for a reported A$300 million and it became operational in June 2015
