Tumut 1 Hydro Power Station

Tumut 1 Power Station is located on the Tumut River, near Cabramurra which was originally built to house workers construction the Tumut 1 and Tumut 2 dams and power stations. The power station was completed in 1959.

Tumut 1 Power Station has four turbines with a generating capacity of 329.6 MW. It is located underground and has 3.7 kilometres of associated tunnels. It has a 292.6 metre head of water water.
