Aussie Renewables is part of Biz2030 Pty Ltd and is based in Sydney, Australia. Aussie Renewables was designed by Mary Hendriks and Peter Thorogood to inspire creative thinking about the way in which we use energy, water and resources.

Peter Thorogood began his career working for large organisations including BHP, and the Australian and New South Wales Governments. He then built his own business in the IT industry and later specialized in web services and online businesses. Peter is a Director of Biz2030 Pty Ltd and Manager of Aussie Renewables.

Mary Hendriks was involved in the development of Aussie Renewables, with the initial concept and design of the project in 2008. Mary is a Business Consultant to the Renewable Energy industry, with special focus on Energy Storage.

Mary is currently working as Industry Executive of the Australian Energy Storage Alliance, and as Conference Program Manager for the Australian Energy Storage Conference, organised by Exhibition & Trade Fairs. Until mid 2014, she was Projects & Membership Development Manager at the Australian Solar Council. From 2009 to 2012, Mary was the Business Development Manager for the annual All-Energy Australia conference & exhibition. Her earlier work was as Project Manager for several Australian Government funded programs to support entrepreneurship in small business. She has been a business mentor and a coordinator for programs such as Women in Business and the award winning GoYoungBiz programs.

Mary is also a volunteer committee member of the Sydney Central Chapter of the Australian Solar Council and member of the Australian Institute of Energy . Follow her Twitter updates here.
